PARTNERHUB

PARTNERHUB

Partnerhub is a partnership operations platform. It enables digital agencies and tech partnerships teams to connect and align on partner activities like co-marketing and co-selling.

I joined Partnerhub as the Head of Product and the first full-time employee. While only at Partnerhub for six months, I launched the initial version and defined critical new features and iterations. While my role included typical product management activities like performing user research and defining requirements, I am most proud of bringing a stronger product sense to the organization and implementing frameworks that helped everyone work smarter. My goal every day was to calm the chaos by enabling the engineers to focus and deliver with quality. I did this by:

  • implementing a prioritization framework

  • communicating tradeoffs

  • ensuring the engineers had a clear understanding of the problems we were trying to solve

  • writing detailed requirement docs

  • performing frequent E2E testing

  • implementing a defect resolution process

projects

As the Head of Product, I collaborated with the founder to define and prioritize product opportunities. The founder is an expert in partnerships, so I focused less on market research and more on shaping his vision into a product and managing the roadmap to build a customer base and bring value to them.

Partnerhub has two primary user personas: digital agencies and tech companies’ partnership team members. I aimed to strategically prioritize the needs of each persona to acquire, activate and retain users.

  • One of Partnerhub’s key value propositions was to match partnership teams from agencies and tech companies. We needed to collect enough data about each team to recommend partners effectively. The initial onboarding experience included a questionnaire that took up to 5 minutes to complete. Only a few users met key activation events once onboarding was complete.

Primary KPIs: conversion rate by user type; activation rate by user

    My role:

    • Highlighted conversion and activation rates to advocate for updating the user experience

    • Identified ways to reduce the time required to complete the questionnaire

    • Defined and designed a new user experience to make the initial activating user event more intuitive

  • One of Partnerhub’s key value props is to help teams find qualified partners. The Partner Marketplace allowed users to find and reach out to potential partners. For example, a digital agency specializing in eCommerce development might search the marketplace for eCommerce tech teams to partner with.

Primary KPI: # of partner requests sent

    My role:

    • Proposed the marketplace initiative after the original UX was not meeting target metrics

    • Set and implemented a strategy to build the network needed for the marketplace to provide value

    • Designed wireframes and defined requirements

  • Partnered with Integry.ai to embed an integration marketplace connecting Partnerhub to five applications. Users can quickly set up integrations using the Marketplace with pre-defined data flows between Partnerhub and Hubspot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Slack, and Zendesk.

Primary KPI: number of active integrations

    My role:

    • Defined data mappings for 12 data flows across the various apps

    • Led partnership activity and defined integration requirements

  • Along with user-facing projects, I also was responsible for platform integrations such as Customer.io and Pendo. Customer.io was used for messaging automation, while Pendo was used for Product analytics and in-app support.

    My role:

    • Planned email communication flows and defined requirements for the Customer.io integration

    • Built messaging flows in Customer.io

    • Defined the events and properties required for the Pendo integration

    • Created in-app guides to accelerate product adoption
